What is the FORE Solutions Library? – bottom drawer ideas

At FORE, we believe that when a policy window opens, we must seize the opportunity.

That’s why we’re creating a free online and publicly accessible Solutions Library, an online space where we collate one-page innovative and interesting solutions to the issues that Australia is grappling with. These one-pagers will include three core sections: problem identification, context, and solution identification.

Armed with the knowledge the Solutions Library will offer, public servants, journalists, decision-makers, activists and concerned community members alike will be in a better position to take action.

Your solution could propose changes to guidelines, regulations, legislation, or offer insights into upcoming ministerial decisions. We're looking for creative approaches within this scope that have the potential to drive real-world impact and bring about positive change.

How does it work?

  1. You identify a policy solution – perhaps mandatory drink spiking and preventative sexual assault training for all bar and security staff in other states?

  2. You send us any material that you think is relevant to what your policy recommendation to the government is and why – PDFs, links, reports, etc.

  3. The FORE team formats using that information to the best of our ability – creating the first draft.

  4. We then meet to discuss and workshop together. (Any leftover questions get answered after our meeting.)

  5. The FORE team emails for your approval of the final draft.

  6. The FORE team then amplifies the solution by:

    • publishing your Solutions Paper to our online, freely accessible Solutions Library that will be on www.foreaustralia.com

    • creating Instagram content (reels and grid posts) explaining your idea to be spread via @foreaustralia.com

    • sharing this content via our monthly newsletter

    • sharing your idea via our new podcast (we’d love for a representative to join us for an interview).

    • helping spread  the solution idea to Government circles and sending it to the Minister in question, and SES-level public servants, if appropriate.

Thank you for considering this opportunity to collaborate with FORE. Although we’re not there just yet, we hope to soon be at the FOREfront of change! If you have any questions or would like more information, please feel free to reach out - info@fore-emu.com

FORE Australia would like to acknowledge Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples as the Traditional Custodians of the land we live, learn and work on.

We value their cultures, identities, and continuing connection to country, waters, kin, and community. We pay our respects to Elders, both past and present, and are committed to supporting the next generation of young Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander leaders. This always was and always will be Aboriginal land.

As an organisation dedicated to amplifying solutions, we recognise that First Nations peoples have long identified many of the pathways for environmental protection and meeting community needs. Our role is to listen, support, and amplify these voices.
